Nelulichi Catering was founded by Athule Mqoqi, a dynamic culinary visionary whose journey into the food business began in the most humble and authentic way, by selling hearty, home-cooked plates to students in her university residence. What started as a small passion project quickly revealed her natural talent for flavour, creativity, and hospitality.

With professional restaurant experience and training under highly skilled chefs including single Michelin-star chef Luciano Mononsilo, Athule refined her craft and elevated her culinary voice. Despite an early love for engineering and numbers, she boldly pivoted from that path and chose to pursue the art of cooking full-time, merging precision with creativity in every dish she creates.

Today, Nelulichi Catering stands as a distinguished name in the Mother City's culinary scene. Through exceptional service, unforgettable flavours, and consistently crafted dining experiences, the brand has built a loyal local clientele and captured the attention of international guests. Nelulichi has had the honour of serving clients from London, Kenya, Nigeria, the United States and many more, a testament to its growing global appeal.
